Gather uses account identifiers (email or phone), profile details, group memberships, invitations, activity participation, and technical security records to provide private group coordination and authentication. Group members see information needed to coordinate shared activities; do not place sensitive information in shared fields.
Authentication and app data are processed using Supabase; Vercel hosts the application. Planned SMS delivery uses Telnyx through VegaNext/VegaTel. SMS is not yet enabled.
Proposed commitment for owner approval: Mobile numbers and SMS consent information will not be sold, rented, or disclosed to other organizations for their advertising. Service providers may process them only as necessary to operate authentication and deliver requested messages.
Codes are used for authentication, expire, and must not be shared. We do not intentionally log codes or authentication credentials.
Access is restricted using authentication and group permissions. No system can promise absolute security.
Retention: retain account and group records while needed to provide the service; owner must approve a concrete deletion, backup retention, and security-log policy before launch.
Requests: email GatherHelp@gather.contact to request access, correction, or deletion. We may verify identity and explain records that must be retained.
Audience: initial pilot is intended for adults. Confirm age policy before inviting minors or adding household/guardian features.
Changes: publish a revised effective date and communicate material changes.
Owner review required: legal entity details, support channel, retention practices, actual third-party processing, age policy, and applicable privacy rights.
